Oliver Glass, Ph.D., has 20 years of bench to bedside academic research experience in addition to cross-functional and drug development leadership in Pharma. He is the Chair of the medical scientific advisory board for the DYRK1A Syndrome International Association, focusing on driving and funding research. He has been a Medical Affairs Director of Rare Diseases at Pfizer since 2023, focusing on more common rare diseases like hemophilia and sickle cell anemia. Oliver is also part-time, Adjunct Faculty at the Duke University School of Medicine and has held various academic roles at Duke since 2017. Prior, Oliver was the Director of Research at the Duke Health and Well Being program.

In his free time, Oliver is an avid guitar player, with his favorite genre being heavy metal and has recently become a guitar collector. He is also into health and fitness and has practiced cross fit for many years, turning his garage into a cross fit gym. He grew up in Ohio close to Lake Erie and sailed competitively when he was younger. Today, he still enjoys wake surfing in the summers and snowboarding in the winter.

Oliver’s and Sarah’s eight-year-old son Ethan lives with DYRK1A Syndrome.
