Diseases of the heart can be divided into two categories – those indigenous to the heart and those cause by factors outside of the heart

The pump of the cardiovascular system is the Heart. The heart is one of the most important, complex, and fascinating organs in your body. Diseases of the heart can be divided into two categories – those indigenous to the heart and those cause by factors outside of the heart. In this installment, both types of diseases of the heart are explored. Regardless of the cause, diseases of the heart can have serious implications on the health of the heart, leading to congestive heart failure and eventually cardiac arrest.

On This Episode We Discuss:

  • Diseases indigenous to the heart
  • Abnormalities with the rhythm at which the heart beats
  • Complications with the force at which the heart beats
  • Understanding the primary cause of disease
  • Diseases caused by factors outside of the heart
  • Congestive heart failure and cardiac arrest
